It was December 10--at the Kennett Square Walmart--the United States Marines sent out an urgent message that they were "looking for a few good men" to assist them with their annual Christmas Toys for Tots drive! The message was heard "loud and clear" by Flotilla 49 Commander T. Dever, Vice Flotilla Commander K. Enochs and FSO-PA M. Goodwin who came to their rescue! On this day, one that will go down into the "Toys for Tots" history books, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary collected 370 toys in 8 hours! According to the United States Marine Coordinator of this event, this was the most toys ever collected at one time thus proving that the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is indeed Semper Paratus - Always Ready! |
