On Saturday, 10 October 2009, Captain Meredith L. Austin, Commander, CG Sector Delaware Bay and Commander Ben Cooper visited SARDET Wilmington to present Auxiliarists the Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation and Citation for assisting the United States Coast Guard from 15 June 2009 to 26 June 2009 during Station (small) Salem's extended safety stand down due to the summer personnel transfer season.
